Have you ever come home from a long day and had the urge to pamper yourself with an authentic, relaxing facial? Well now you can - using the most basic ingredients from your kitchen and Pomega5’s Pure Pomegranate Seed Oil. Just follow these easy steps and enjoy!
- 2 tbsp. skinless, blanched almonds
- 1/3 hydroponic cucumber (seedless with skin removed, cut into pieces)
- 1 tsp. honey
- A few drops of fresh lemon or lime juice
- Lemon zest
- 1 tsp. almond oil
- 20-25 drops of Pomega5 Pure Pomegranate Seed Oil
- 1 whole egg
- 2 tbsp. oatmeal (uncooked)
- 2 drops each of grapefruit and ylang-ylang essential oils
- 1 drop each of rosewood, lemon and lemongrass essential oils
Directions:
1. Grind the almonds and the oatmeal together in a blender or food processor.
2. In a separate bowl, whisk the egg and then add in all of the oils, whisking after each addition. Then add the honey, lemon juice and zest.
3. Alternate adding the pieces of cucumber and the oil mixture to the food processor.
4. If the mixture is too sticky, add a 1/2 tsp. of mineral or distilled water. If the mixture is too loose, add a small amount of ground oatmeal. You are looking for the texture of a loose dough.
5. On a clean, dry face, apply a thin layer of the mask. Use under the eyes, on the lips and around the neck area.
6. After 15 minutes, exfoliate off the mask by gently rubbing each section in small circular motions. Any remaining residue from the mask may be removed with warm water and a soap-free cleanser, such as Pomega5 Cleansing Bar.
7. Once face is clean and dry, apply Pomega5 Healing Cream for a smooth, moisturized finish.
